FRANKLIN, Ind – Thursday, February 4th, 2010 was middleschool visitation night at the Franklin Community High School.  7th and 8th graders and parents were treated to a tour and exposure to the various departments available for their upcoming classes.   dsc_9272_0 Among these areas of study is the always interesting “Technology Classes” including: Manufacturing, Construction, Engineering, Communications, Transportation and Architecture.

dsc_9261_0  Teachers Cory Cooper and Charles Hessman put together a display of some of the products the students have made in their classes. 4 of the students below were demonstrating the Vex Robots they have assembled in Cory Coopers 3rd period Design Process class.  The robots were remote/radio controlled, running on rechargeable batteries and designed by the students to pickup pingpong sized balls and deliver them to boxes at the four corners of the practice area.  dsc_9262_0
