Lola Frances (Fox) Friedersdorf, age 99, a resident of the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2010. friedersdorfpic-001

Lola was born on August 1, 1910 in Grammer, Indiana to Frank G. and Pearl (Simmonds) Fox.  She married John Lewis Friedersdorf in October, 1929.  They celebrated fifty-six years of marriage.  Mr. Friedersdorf passed away in 1985.  There were five children born of this marriage.  The four surviving children are Max, John, Jr.; Barbara and Betty.  Other survivors include one brother, Charles F. Fox; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in passing by her parents, husband, John, son, Frank D. and brother, O.I. Fox.

She attended Grammer School and was a graduate of Columbus High School in Columbus.
She was a Homemaker and a real estate licensed agent during her working days.

She was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church which she joined in 1941.  Church was very important to Lola.  She was very involved with the church and the United Presbyterian Women’s Group where she was a former president and a member of the O.W.L.S.  She was a Circle Leader and held various church offices.  She was also a member of Psi-Iota-Xi; Tri Delta Patroness; Tri Psi and Child Study Club.  She attended auctions, antique shows, loved to travel, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Revs. Peter Jessen and Charles Stanley will conduct a service on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Madison Street, Franklin, Indiana 46131. 

Friends may call on Friday, January 22nd from 12:00 p.m. to time of service at the church.  Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
