Jim of Recovery One of Indiana in Franklin, towing in one of the Semi Tractors involved in the accidents that closed I 65. Downtown Franklin and US 31 was jammed with Interstate traffic for about 3 hours today as wreckage was cleared from the snow covered interstate. .

State Fire Marshal Urges Fire Safety During Thanksgiving Holiday

INDIANAPOLIS – As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, Indiana State Fire Marshal Jim Greeson urges Hoosiers to be safe when preparing Thanksgiving dinner. According to the National Fire Protection Association, U.S. firefighters responded to roughly 1,300 home fires involving cooking equipment on Thanksgiving in 2007, roughly three times the daily average of cooking fires.
